I mentioned that I had started knitting a hat.
Well I have now finished it.
So here are a few pictures.
I did use a pattern (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/clinton-2) that I found on Ravelry and had used before to make this hat.
This latest hat has been made in the same yarn as before Rowan Brushed Fleece a a chunky yarn that is 65% Extra fine Merino wool, 30% Baby Alpaca, 5% Polyamide The shade I bought before was called ‘Tarn (254)’. This time I chose ‘Nook (260)’.
I had exact measurements for the hat the person wanted this time and so it is a little smaller than the previous one.
As before, I did alter the pattern, in that after completing the rib, I knitted twice into each stitch and left every other stitch on a circular needle cable so I could go back later and knit a second layer for the inside thus making it twice as thick.
And here is a last look from above.
Rowan Brushed Fleece is a lovely, soft but thick, yarn so I am sure it will be wonderfully cosy to wear.
My goodness with the second layer it will be a cosy hat for sure. Love the colour.

I do find that knitted hats are not always very warm even when made with chunky yarn. Hence the double layer.
