Another Potted Plant

Just a quick post this week. Still working on blanket but I had a daughter with a birthday and decided a cactus in a pot would be a good idea to send.

Decided a plastic pot with a crochet cover would be best to put in the post.

I looked on the internet for a few ideas but didn’t see anything that I wanted to make, so I got out this book and the cotton left over from making these and improvised.

The patterns in the book were worked flat so I made the cover flat with a seam. I didn’t really know how many increases were needed and the join is hardly invisible but that can be at the back and I’m pleased with the result.
The cactus is Cardon Grande from this book.
