I have finally finished the border for my Celtic Granny Blanket.
I showed you my plans – https://rainbowjunkiecorner.wordpress.com/2020/08/03/time-for-a-border/
and my start – https://rainbowjunkiecorner.wordpress.com/2020/10/12/the-tricky-bit-of-the-border/
But I finished the interwoven part.

Here is a closer look at a corner and then went on to add a granny edging.
Before I show you. I just have to say that one of the reasons it has taken so long is that I did want it perfect and when I went round with the green yarn. I ran out just a few inches before the end because of the yarn being thicker and so having less and using more per inch. I was so annoyed that I ripped the whole round out and went down to a smaller hook. This made sure that I could finish the round with just a little left over.
Here you can see how much I have left.

More pink left. Maybe the yarn was thinner or the ball held more? Not sure.
Here is the whole blanket finally finished.

Had there been more green I might have done a different design but since I only had enough green for one round, I just reversed the colours for one more round each.
Here is a closer look.

It’s a stunning border to a stunning blanket – but I did have a little laugh at your annoyance on running out of green.

Thank you! Laughs are good. I did actually have the same colour yarn in my succulent bag of yarns but that would have meant two more ends to sew in. 🙂
