I continued making the coasters last week.
Just two more to make.
This pictorial one that is what I would call a classic coaster – no holes! It was easier than I had expected from the picture of it I had seen. No instructions for the overlaid stitches. Just advice to follow the photograph.
The last coaster was an evocation of the sea, but I thought it reminded me of Wild Daffodil’s pink seaweed. So, usin I had, I made two versions.
The original.
and the ‘seaweed’ version. Here you can see both together.
Since, as I said in my previous post, I was thinking of using them for some bunting, I devised a piece of bunting to fit the theme. I have more ideas for what I want to do but the cotton puts more of a strain on my hands so I have gone back to working on the edging for my Celtic Granny blanket for now.

I know what you mean about working with cotton. Your work is lovely and I do love that bunting pendant. I’m a sucker for bunting ๐

Bunting is fun. I have made some for my daughter before now but I think this will be for me!
