Wishing you a Blessed Good Friday.
I include a poem that I think is very old therefore hopefully not in copyright.
O King of the Friday
Whose limbs were stretched on the cross,
O Lord who did suffer
The bruises, the wounds, the loss,
We stretch ourselves
Beneath the shield of thy might,
Some fruit from the tree of thy passion
Fall on us this night!
And this year’s Hot Cross Buns
My Recipe above or here – https://rainbowjunkiecorner.wordpress.com/2014/04/17/a-poem-and-a-recipe/
Though this year I made half quantities, used the Food processor and didn’t add the extra water mentioned as I allowed them to rise in the airing cupboard in the normal way.
My mouth is watering at the sight of the hot cross buns. A lovely poem, thank you.x

Glad you liked the poem. I always love the idea of seeing the Cross as a tree.

Thank you. I always prefer home made ones and I make bread every week so it’s easy to make buns!
