Progressing with Blanket

Recently I realised that I needed to buy more of three of the colours I was using for my Sacred Space blanket or I would run out.

Buying on-line is not the best idea when you want so few balls of a relatively cheap yarn and anyway I like to support local shops, although the choice can be more limited. Luckily by going to Bradbeers in Romsey and Williamsons in Woolston, I was able to get what I needed. new yarnThe Blush in Bradbeers and the Sage and Lipstick in Williamsons. It is interesting to note that whereas the yarn from Williamsons cost me £1.85m, that from Bradbeers cost me £2.20, almost 20% more. Well I suppose that’s Romsey for you!

I am now working my way through part 7 of the CAL.

I took the blanket, to work on, to Crafty Coffee on Friday and a photograph was taken for the Facebook page. blanket at Crafty CoffeeAnother couple of days and the corners are coming on nicely cornerand in fact this is the last of the corner only rows. From now on I will be working in rounds or should I say squares!

Do I hurry to finish it, though I am way behind in CAL terms, or do I go slowly because when it is finished I shall feel bereft?
