A Crafted Birthday

Just the card and present for my daughter.

I took a leaf out of Sandra at Wild Daffodil’s book and decided to use the sample I had made while planning my Lost Garden blanket colours for the birthday card.

And attached it to a card. birthday cardFor the present my daughter had admired a heat proof mat I had made, that I often used under the dish of stuffing or similar when I served a roast dinner.

It was a single colour version of my Celtic Coaster made in DMC XL cotton.

So I bought some more of the cotton and made another one. new mat

I had also told my daughter that, if she wanted, she could have the green cotton shopping bag I had made recently,as I already had a blue one.

She thought that this would be useful.two bags

Now I had bought some fabric wrapping from Lush, as an alternative to wrapping paper. fabric wrappingAnd I thought that my daughter would appreciate the idea and reuse it.

So I put the present together. present ready to wrap
