Taking better photographs

Most of the time I am taking photographs of the things I have made and I am aiming for something that is in focus, is well balanced and where the colours are accurate (at least to my eyes on my screen). And I am aware how much my eyesight is deteriorating as I age.

I am also normally in a hurry needing to take a picture ‘today’ no matter what the lighting. Even my nature photographs have normally been taken fairly quickly as I walk or pop into the garden between jobs when the light seems good.

However I have sent a few photographs lately to Leanne Cole for Monochrome Madness, (- this week’s no photo of mine sent -) as I told you in an earlier post. This has made me realise that my photographs do not have that extra something that most of the other photographs sent in for Monochrome Madness do.

So I have taken a few photographs this week in the garden and tried to take a little more time both with taking them and processing them afterwards. I have also included two photographs that I almost thought of sending this week (- the first two).

The question is am I getting there? Should I keep trying or just concentrate on my crochet?
